Plant Trees help the earth breathe

Urban trees grow up to 40% faster than trees in the forest. With little competition for sunlight and nutrients, a warmer environment and because there is plenty of CO2 in the city, why then are we not planting more trees in our urban core? But planting more isn’t enough. Each of us needs to help maintain and care for the ones newly planted and for those already growing. Shade in the summer, cleaning up the air, providing homes for birds are just a few reasons to help these species thrive. The image calls out to each of us to plant a tree and take care of it. It’s the one thing we can do now that shapes the future and helps us breathe a little easier.
